Bedouin
Tents were originally made from white woven
sheep wool for the summer and black woven
camel hair for the winter. It is said that
when the Bedouin people change the tents
for the next season, they roll them up and
hang them from a tree. If they leave the
tent on the ground, anyone can take it as
it meant the owner did not want it! |
Our
tents are still the same design, but as
we are running low on camels in Buckinghamshire,
we use modern materials. There are several
different styles of Bedouin tents available.
Our tent design is based on the Makhzen
people, and is called the Royal tent. It
is stunning to look at with its mosaic detail
on the outside and sumptuous linings on
the inside. Our tents start at 6m x 12m
and can be constructed up to 15m x 30m.Lined
and furnished with low-seating, sumptuous
rugs, beautiful linings and ambient lighting,
they make the perfect venue for a special
party or a beautiful wedding. We are always
looking to find new styles of tent. If there
is anything you require then please don’t
hesitate to call. |
